GANGA, a river descended from heaven
Just to serve the needs of humanity.
To all human race,
I am like a luminous haze over the water
Like the sun, I spread lights,
On part of one’s consciousness.
I was the purest and you made me sacred.
All prayed me like a god and I blessed you all,
For centuries and after centuries…..
I am GANGA,
Not merely a
But a sacred and mighty river.
Revered, respected and worshipped by many,
Praised and reference made in the Vedas.
I am home to many aquatic lives living in my habitat.
People do come for quench of their thirst for salvation.
But human’s meaningless selfish has tagged me,
With most “Polluted river”.
Shame on that humanity which has reduced me
From a sacred and life giving river
To a cauldron river of death.
Oh! Selfish human
Today I being accused of carcinogenic.
Who made me this today…..?
The answer is the greedy human beings
Who want to trench salvation by exploiting and dumping my soul.
GANGA, provider of Moksha,
Life breath of human life,
An inspiring and rich source of Hindu Epic
Has always blessed us with great culture and religion.
But what we have provided to this Holy River
Only with Pollution and Mormonism.
Exploiting my Heart and Soul with
Heavy metal and chemicals.
Reduced me to a commodity of pollution.
Wake up! All Humans
Stop plundering this maniacal pollution,
You have made me an agent of disease.
Does Article 21 of Indian Constitution provides protection,
To the Honour of Dignity of Human Beings Only.
I being GANGA, is still out of the context of the legal framework.
If I would be in that context my conditions will be totally different.
Though I have been considered by Uttarkhand High Court
A “Living Entity”
Giving me tag of “Living Entity” won’t reduce my suffering.
I would have a sigh of relief on that day,
When I have been relieved out from the tag of
“Most polluted River”
Save GANGA from pollution.
Being GANGA my Last wish would be
Is to restore back my former Glory.
Let me be sacred again.
Let me once again the HARBINGER OF LIFE….
